Die EPEA ist vom Europarat als Nichtregierungsorganisation (NGO) anerkannt.\nDie EPEA arbeitet mit den Strafvollzugsverwaltungen in Europa zusammen, um ihre Ziele zu verwirklichen, ist jedoch eigenst\u00e4ndig und unabh\u00e4ngig. Die EPEA dient nicht nur den Zielen der Organisation, indem sie z.B. die Gr\u00fcndung nationaler Zweigstellen f\u00f6rdert, sondern organisiert auch zweij\u00e4hrlich gro\u00dfe internationale Konferenzen \u00fcber Gef\u00e4ngnisp\u00e4dagogik.<br \/>Die EPEA ist vom Europarat als Nichtregierungsorganisation (NRO) anerkannt. Sie arbeitet mit den Strafvollzugsverwaltungen in Europa zusammen, um ihre Ziele zu erreichen, ist jedoch eigenst\u00e4ndig und unabh\u00e4ngig. <br \/>Die EPEA hat sich als europ\u00e4isches Sprachrohr f\u00fcr die Gef\u00e4ngnisp\u00e4dagogik etabliert und z\u00e4hlt Mitglieder aus \u00fcber 40 L\u00e4ndern. Die Anerkennung als offizielle Nichtregierungsorganisation ( NGO ) mit partizipativem Status beim Europarat ist eine Best\u00e4tigung f\u00fcr die hohe Stellung und Bedeutung der EPEA, die vor kurzem
